Via Migrante

Support our promotoras (community leaders) and micro-credit clients (small businesses) respond to urgent needs in Tijuana's under-served communities.

With the spread of the Coronavirus, the needs in Tijuana communities are greater than ever.  Through our sister organization, Los Niños de Baja California, and through our partnership with Cross-Border Xpress, every donation you make to support food distribution in Tijuana will be matched 1:1.

For 44 years Via International has served migrant populations in the US/Mexico border region alleviating systemic poverty exacerbated by migration. We have established successful, ongoing programs of community development with arriving populations in multiple locations in Baja California. Now, through strategic regional partnerships, we are launching an integrated program of accompaniment for newly arrived migrants and deportees in Tijuana.

OUR GOAL: Establishing Safe, Strong and Self-Sustaining Communities

Through the Via Migrante program people from within these most vulnerable populations can exercise their inherent right to self-determination, and become active participants in their own development and in the creation of safe, strong and self-sustaining communities in Tijuana, Mexico. LEARN MORE
